Aqua Timez first live at Budokan on 6th anniversary

Today it has been announced that pop-rock band Aqua Timez is going to hold their first concert at the legendary Nippon Budokan in Tokyo this summer.

The performance will happen on August 24th which also marks the 6th anniversary of the band’s indie debut. It will be the final performance of their nationwide “Carpe diem tour 2011” that was announced earlier this month.

Vocalist Futoshi already can’t wait to perform at the sacred place stating, “I’ve never said it before, but it has always been my secret dream to perform at the Budokan someday. I’ve always worked hard to make this dream come true. We will value every single concert during our tour and exert ourselves even more for the final concert at the Budokan to make it worth the watch for everyone.” Around 8,000 people will be able to enjoy the final concert of their tour.

Their new album “Carpe diem” will be released on February 16th whereas their next single “Mayonaka no Orchestra” will already go on sale on January 26th. The song has already made headlines, as it topped the the daily usen chart today.
